Community Mental Health and Addiction Service
For adults who have severe mental health issues; involves assessment, planning, treatment and reviews with an allocated key worker and/or a doctor. May be short-term service (a couple of appointments), or long-term (more than two years). Key CMH staff work alongside the service user, and their family, in their own home or at the CMH offices to educate them and support their recovery. This may include providing information on medication, illnesses, community living and options. CMH staff also liaise with any other services involved in a patient’s recovery such as the GP and /or a community agency.
